The RTX 5060 Ti 8GB performs confidently across both resolutions most buyers are running. At 1080p ultra settings, every current mainstream title runs well above what a 144Hz monitor needs — Fortnite, CS2, Valorant, and Call of Duty all sit at frame rates where the monitor becomes the ceiling, not the GPU. Cyberpunk 2077 and GTA V at 1080p high deliver smooth, consistent frame rates without DLSS being required to compensate. If 1080p is where you are gaming, this machine does not hold you back in any current title.
At 1440p the picture remains positive. High settings across most current titles produce frame rates that fill a 144Hz panel without assistance. In the most demanding games — Cyberpunk 2077 at maximum settings, Black Myth Wukong, Alan Wake 2 — DLSS quality mode on the RTX 5060 Ti’s Blackwell architecture brings frame rates up to that threshold with no visible loss in image quality at 1440p. The honest ceiling is 4K — at that resolution, in demanding titles, this card needs significant DLSS assistance, and a buyer whose primary target is 4K should look at the RTX 5070 instead.
The Ryzen 5 8400F paired with the RTX 5060 Ti is a deliberate match. In gaming, the CPU’s job is to feed the GPU fast enough that the GPU is never waiting. The 8400F does that at both 1080p and 1440p across the full range of current titles. If you stream or record alongside gaming, the 8400F carries that without pulling frame rates down noticeably in most titles.
